A DAY ON THE YACHT
If you are planning a charter vacation in Croatia, there are several good reasons why you should choose Šibenik as your home port. Among all the possible choices, Šibenik is located in the centre of the Croatian sea, enabling guests to pick which part of the Adriatic they want to explore.
The surrounding area around Šibenik not only offers excellent marinas and nautical services, but also the possibility to venture inland and explore the vast natural wealth and beauty of the Croatian hinterlands, in form of picturesque towns, historic fortresses, National Parks, waterfalls and many more.
So, picking Šibenik as your starting position should be an easy choice; once you arrive, you can stroll through the Old Core of this town, full of rich cultural heritage and tradition. Walk on cobblestone streets polished by countless travellers, who marvelled at the medieval architecture of Šibenik`s palaces and churches. The most impressive building of all is the Šibenik Cathedral, a marvel of historic engineering protected by UNESCO.
Once you experience the essence of Šibenik, board ANNABEL II and venture forth into the turquoise sea. For your first day, you may want to visit the enchanting Murter island, which will embrace you with open arms.
Full of adventure and excitement, Murter is a charming isle located some 30 kilometres (15 nautical miles) from the historic town of Šibenik. The biggest settlement on the island is also named Murter, and is connected to the mainland via a small drawbridge. There are several other settlements, like Betina, Jezera and Tisno, the latter of which is home to many of Croatian summer music festivals.
The nearest airport close to Murter is in Zadar, which is about 60 kilometres away from Murter`s shoreline, so you can arrive from other directions also. Once you arrive near the island, you may feel hungry from the jetlag, the arrival and the cruise, but do not worry, because you can rest and recuperate in the comfort of ANNABEL II`s numerous accommodations and lounge spaces.
If you are hungry, your Michelin-level chef has already prepared an incredible yacht lunch. Dine on dishes such as fresh oysters, with sea urchin paste, seasoned with lemon juice and fried garlic. Enjoy every bite of the beer-glazed picanha steak with provolone and bell peppers and finish off with a nice salted butterscotch panna cotta for dessert.
After lunch, you may want to consider touring the beaches on Murter island, starting with Kosrina bay. This idyllic place is surrounded by pine trees and offers unspoilt waters that are perfect for snorkeling.
Podravske beach is located about 1 kilometre from the town of Murter; it has some sand, but also pebbles and pine trees, which create refreshing shade and provide a chance to escape the sun. Slanice beach is a sandy beach near Podravske, and it is ideal for children, because of its shallow waters and numerous beachfront amenities. Cigrada bay is perfect if you arrive to Murter by yacht, because it is more remote than the rest, making the atmosphere more natural and private.
Lastly, Jazina beach is located near the Jazina campsite, offering shallow waters and sandy shores.
If beaches are not your thing, a good idea for a short trip would be to explore some of the hotspots on Murter island, like Tisno. This town is the point where the island of Murter connects with the mainland via a drawbridge. The beauty of this coastal settlement is in its natural panorama, which seamlessly blends with the historic stone architecture of the village houses.
Another option would be to consider visiting the Gradina peninsula and its Colentum, an ancient Roman town, filled with archaeological treasures. If you are an avid hiker, you might want to check out the “Vrh Gradine” hiking trail, cutting through low-laying Adriatic shrubbery and maritime hinterland.
The church of St. Roko also offers a chance for a short ascend, located near the centre of Murter town, and provides an amazing 360° panorama for visitors who can climb the Vršina hill. If you are not fond of walking, you can also drive or bike to the top and enjoy the view either way.
Another option for a short day trip would be to visit the Museum of Wooden Shipbuilding in Betina and compare your luxury yachting experience with the naval architecture and materials used in building ships of the past several centuries.
Murter is also an ideal launching pad for visiting the Kornati National Park, one of the most prized treasures of all Croatia`s natural beauties. In fact, the residents of Mureter feel a strong obligation to guard and protect the Park from pollution and overcrowding. This is their heritage and the legacy of their ancestors – once judged to be worthless, and today attracting thousands of visitors each year.
Touring some or all of these locations always makes guests famished, so return to ANNABEL II yacht charter, and enjoy the incredible quality and intricacy of dishes prepared by your expert yacht chef.
Start your meal with a black squid risotto– a classic Adriatic dish that is not to be missed. For the main course, you could enjoy a flank steak with capers, gherkins and cauliflower puree and a lemon cheesecake on a ginger crust, for dessert.
After a fine dining experience aboard ANNABEL II yacht charter, you can opt for an evening stroll through Murter, taking in the magical summer atmosphere, full of lively noises, entertainers, music, dancing and tourists from all around the world. On the other hand, if you want some privacy, raise anchor and head out to a nearby private bay, where no light pollution will enable you to observe the countless stars, that lit up the night sky in their silvery haze.
YACHT CHARTER DINING
Expect a bespoke dining experience on your holiday in Croatia, once you book ANNABEL II yacht charter. Because this yacht has a dedicated chef, you are guaranteed that every dish will receive high attention to detail, as well as swift and accurate service during dining.
Always remember to be as detailed as possible when filling out your preference sheet, because it assures that you will only eat food you like, while also avoiding any dislikes (ingredients, spices, ways of cooking). On the other hand, keep an open mind about some specialities of local Croatian cuisine, which combine fresh seafood with native herbs and historic recipes, to produce some of the most mouth-watering dishes in the entire Mediterranean.
Since there are several dining options aboard ANNABEL II, you will be able to enjoy a different approach to Michelin-level food. The main deck aft is the first choice for alfresco dining, and for a good reason – it offers the most stable dining environment, with minimal wind gusts or summer heat. The flybridge is a good choice for a meal when ANNABEL II yacht charter is at anchor, because it provides an elevated atmosphere that goes excellent with Michelin-level food.
Finally, the main deck interior salon is always an option for a yacht lunch, when the sun is in its zenith and the air-conditioned environment offers respite from the summer heat. Choose where to dine and indulge in dishes such as fresh tuna and couscous salad, followed by a fish soup made by following a traditional Croatian Adriatic recipe. For the main course, expect something along the lines of sous vide suckling pig with roasted fennel, asparagus and red wine sauce. And for dessert, mille-feuille with fresh forest fruits.
YACHT MAIN DECK
The elegant and sleek profile of ANNABEL II yacht charter beckons charter guests to come and explore the Croatian Adriatic sea, expecting adventure around every corner. A design that is intimate and humble, following the guidelines set by Croatian nature, meaning the use of neutral colours, soft edges, smooth transitions between lines and a bespoke interior environment.
The tour of ANNABEL II starts from the main deck aft and her alfresco dining arrangement, in form of a slightly angular stern-placed sofa bench and an oval cherry wood table, coupled with a pair of movable chairs. This arrangement can accommodate all the guests aboard for a cocktail hour or a late supper when the moon is high in the sky and the stars are reflected in the pitch-black surface of the water.
She also has a wonderful front sundeck, reachable by using the side decks on either side of the hull. Once at the bow, guests can utilize the sloped sunbed that morphs into a quaint bench at its end. This entire area is best used when ANNABEL II is cruising, so guests can enjoy the changing panorama while the yacht is underway.
To observe the Adriatic horizon while standing on a moving yacht means to experience a feeling similar to hoovering above the sea; ultimate freedom is yours, if you book a yacht vacation with SuperYachts Croatia. When you return to the main deck aft, you are ready to enter the warm and elegant interior of the salon.
Yacht charter accommodation: main salon & dining area
The usage of orange, half-glossy wood panels that cover all the vertical surfaces is represented heavily in the ANNABEL II`s salon. The two main colours that dominate this space are white, present on the upholstery, the carpet, the furniture, and also on the ceiling, with white leather ceiling panels that act as excellent sound dampeners.
The interplay between the natural wood surfaces and plush white upholstery dominates the entire salon, starting from the portside sofa, which is L-shaped and centred around a coffee table. Across it, another smaller sofa complements this entire arrangement, creating a perfect lounge opportunity for guests waiting for their dinner, or resting after an excellent meal.
A flat-screen TV is placed in the starboard corner, enabling guests to watch their favourite show or movie in the company of their closest friends or family members. Forward on the starboard side is some practical cabinetry, with the dining area consisting of lavish dining tables and enough chairs to sit every guest onboard in total luxury.
Spread across the salon, an arrangement of wide and long windows on both sides of the superstructure ensures that every guest has enough sunlight for their daily activities. Forward from the dining area, you will find the galley, as well as the front-facing lounge, where you can mingle with your crew and plan cruising courses with your captain, who knows all the secrets of the Croatian Adriatic sea.
Enjoy the forward-facing panoramic windows of this space and drink your morning tea or coffee in a bespoke environment, dedicated to enjoyment on the high seas.
YACHT FLYBRIDGE
The stern of the flybridge aboard ANNABEL II yacht charter is used to transport the tender while the yacht is underway; once stationary, the crew will launch the tender with the nearby hydraulic crane, opening the stern space of the flybridge to a number of potential activities, from improvised sunbathing arrangements, to yacht yoga and similar exercising options.
Make ANNABEL II yacht charter into your personal yacht gym and feel the difference between exercising in an enclosed environment versus staying active in the middle of the Croatian Adriatic sea.
Right after guests climb on top of the flybridge using the portside staircase that connects this part of the yacht with the main deck aft, they will be immediately welcomed by a bespoke jacuzzi tub, a real treat for every type of charter guest. It is not customary to see many jacuzzies on yachts that have a length lesser than 30 meters, but ANNABEL II yacht charter is anything but ordinary, able to provide a bespoke luxury experience even though she may not fall into lengthier categories.
Whatever the case, you are sure to enjoy the jacuzzi experience, heavily bolstered by the rest of the wonderful amenities on the flybridge. Continuing on the portside, a very big C-shaped sofa bench wraps around a pair of modular coffee tables, which can transform into one large dining table, enabling a second alfresco dining option for guests in need of an elevated dining atmosphere.
Right across the dining table is a fully stocked wet bar with bar stools; this place will be used mostly by your hard-working crew, preparing drinks, snacks or anything else the guests might fancy during their yacht holiday in Croatia.
Further from the amidship, the exterior helm station is placed on the port side, with a wide sunbed on the starboard; these two elements complement each other seamlessly because you can enjoy the warm rays of the sun as ANNABEL II yacht charter is underway, while also chit chatting with your charter party and the captain behind the helm.
A hardtop above the flybridge shields the guests from the sun during the hottest hours of the day, creating an atmosphere that is equally enjoyable to sun-lovers and shade-seekers.
YACHT LOWER DECK
The lower deck on ANNABEL II yacht charter can accommodate a total of 8 guests, allocated in one of 4 cabins, more specifically a full-beam master cabin, 1 twin cabin with a pullman berth, 1 double cabin and 1 VIP cabin, located at the bow of the lower deck.
Yacht charter accommodation: master cabin
The full beam master continues to heavily use orange wood, as is the case on the main deck interior. This produces an inviting and homey environment, in which charter guests will love spending time.
Besides the featured wood wall surfaces and appropriate cabinetry, the centerline queen-size berth offers comfortable rest to guests in luxurious surroundings. The berth has nightstands on both sides, as well as white leather headrests.
Starboard of the berth is a quaint day sofa, right beneath two high portholes, enabling guests to take a nap or sit and read their favourite book or magazine, using natural light.
Across the sofa are a practical table and chair, offering the perfect opportunity to check your emails or write some memos on your laptop, while your stewardess brings coffee to your cabin, enabling you to work in peace.
The ensuite bathroom is located behind the berth, towards the aft, and is equipped with double sinks, a head and a very spacious shower cabin. Last but not least, a walk-in closet is located to port, behind the berth and in continuation with the ensuite beam.
Yacht charter accommodation: VIP cabin
The VIP cabin is located in the bow, offering the best levels of privacy and sound insulation onboard. Also, because the berth is centerline, sleeping and resting will feel like on dry land, meaning guests will not feel any rolling, particularly in the VIP. When talking about the design, the main focus is on the predominant orange wood cabinetry and wall panels, present throughout ANNABEL II yacht charter.
There are nightstands on either side of the queen-size berth, as well as portholes, allowing the VIP to be filled with natural light during the day.
Yacht charter accommodation: double cabin
The queen size berth in the double cabin aboard ANNABEL II yacht charter does not have any leg room. Instead, the berth stretches from one wall of the cabin to the other, effectively transforming the atmosphere of the double cabin into a kind-of “den”, where guests slope over onto the berth, which covers more than half of the entire cabin.
This means that you can use the berth both as a bed for resting and as a day sofa, where you lean against one side of the cabin and let the sunshine come in through the wide portholes, illuminating the interior and creating a warm atmosphere.
A flat-screen TV is integrated into one of the wall panels across the berth, enabling guests to enjoy their favourite programmes in comfort. Kids also love this design of a bed filling the entire cabin, so they will have a hard time picking between the twin or the double as their preferred accommodation.
Yacht charter accommodation: twin cabin
The twin cabin is very charming, considering the volume it has to work with. Regardless, an inconspicuous style is present in this cabin, using minimal details and accessories in the overall design of the twin.
Besides minimal decorations, the twin exudes a quiet luxury, a sort-of comfort that will envelop you like a hug from the sea once you find yourself in this cabin. Usually, the twin is used primarily as children`s accommodation, when families opt for a charter holiday in Croatia. Otherwise, the pullman can be used to house an extra guest, like a nanny, a massage therapist or a personal trainer.
Also, the ensuite features all the necessities needed for prolonged cruising in the Croatian Adriatic sea.
YACHT BEACH CLUB & SWIMMING PLATFORM
The spacious swimming platform aboard ANNABELLE II yacht charter is wide enough to accommodate several beach towels, spread out across its surface. This way, the platform transforms from a yacht deck into your private beach, where you have access to the refreshing turquoise sea and cool cocktails, thanks to your attentive stewardess. You can also use the staircases on either side of the platform for sitting or putting down your assorted beachwear and to have a cleaner approach to the sea.
The swimming platform is entirely user-friendly, equipped with freshwater showers which are smartly integrated into the naval architecture of the beach club. Also, you can work on your perfect bronze tan, since there is enough room to completely spread out your body. And when you cannot take the heat any longer, you can just roll over straight into the refreshing Croatian Adriatic sea for an instant cooling off.
YACHT WATER TOYS & WATER SPORTS
For guests seeking fun on the water, ANNABEL II yacht charter will provide more than enough means to take to the sea in a thrilling and exciting manner. The tender will be the mainstay of water-based fun, because your experienced charter crew will use it to tow you and your guests.
You will have a choice between riding on waterskis or the wakeboard, while the kids will simply adore the kneeboard and the 2-person inflatable donut. All of these toys are totally safe to use if you do not mind getting a bit wet, while you learn to hold your balance of bounce on waves.
Also, there are 4 sets of snorkeling equipment, meaning that 4 guests will be able to form a group and embark upon exploring the beauty of the Adriatic seabed. Meet face to face with many different species of fish, but also octopi, crabs, clams, corals and lots of sea urchins.
Finally, a 2-person kayak will enable 2 guests to paddle in pairs, thereby moving faster and carrying more baggage – anything from supplies for a beach picnic to a change of clothes and fresh towels.
