5 key elements to understanding Rossinavi’s approach to building luxury yachts

Any yacht with an Italian signature guarantees professionalism and excellence, but there are some yacht shipyards that stand out with their work ethic and attention to detail.
One of these is the famous Rossinavi yacht shipyard, which represents all that can be regarded as authentic Italian design: hand-made furniture, rare and expensive materials used in the interior and exterior of the yacht, as well as little details that make life aboard a yacht enjoyable and fun.
These include practical additions to the layout, like opening up the space outwards and bringing the natural element onto the decks of the yacht or hidden amenities, like foldable yacht furniture or freshwater showers subtly integrated into the beach club architecture.
When trying to summarise Rossinavi’s approach to constructing yachts, an objective observer would notice that this shipyard tends to combine Italian style with contemporary simplicity, placing the aesthetic element of the yacht as the shipyard’s primary concert.
To do this, expertise and experience are needed, hailing from generations of families that hoarded their knowledge to produce only the most exclusive luxury yachts with an Italian signature. Artisans and master craftsmen inherit generational knowledge and know-how and pass it along in the Rossinavi shipyard, guaranteeing that every yacht is a genuine and unique product of cumulative knowledge.
Rossinavi always draws its inspiration from the passion felt when constructing luxury yachts; taking pride in the work they do, from rigorous quality controls to an excellent final product, Rossinavi is constantly dedicated to upgrading their service, thanks to their passion towards creating bespoke yachts.
When choosing Rossinavi, potential clients should know that everything is done in-house; for that reason, the reliability of each individual part and the yacht as whole leaves no room for doubt. Because there is no sub-contracting, Rossinavi ensures that each part of the yacht passes quality and durability controls of the highest standard.
Since Rossinavi is a relatively young yacht shipyard, they are not afraid to push the limits of what is perceived as essential or non-essential in a superyacht. This fact proved a winning tactic, seeing that their designs won several global awards during the decades of their climb to glory.
Rossinavi has managed to push itself, during a short time period, at the forefront of superyacht design. The reason for this is that the shipyard constantly sought to improve its production process, as well as continually educate and provide for its team of incredibly skilled designers, craftsmen, engineers, technicians and managers. This only reflects the strong sense of community and family, which are integrated into Rossinavi`s core values.
The centre of Rossinavi`s production is located in Viareggio, with another dedicated boatyard placed in Pisa.
Since metalworking is the pinnacle of the entire Rossinavi enterprise, potential clients can expect extraordinary craftsmanship when it comes to the stainless steel used in the exterior, but also metal details and design accessorize in the interior of every yacht.
This does not imply that the rest of the yacht will underperform or be judged as sub-par. On the contrary, Rossinavi tends to accomplish the same rigorous standard it applies to its metalworking to all other aspects of superyacht construction.
Rossinavi was created in 2007, from the ashes of Cantiere Fratelli Rossi, which translates to “Rossi Brothers Shipyard”. This conversion enabled Rossinavi to connect to generations of master craftsmen and artisans who have decades of experience in building luxury yachts from top to bottom. The values of family and knowledge rank highly in Rossinavi, directing its approach to designing and building yachts.
Rossinavi started as the Rossi Brothers Shipyard in the 1970s, when their business model was based on carpentry and engineering, which meant that the teak was hand-carved and hand-polished, while the engines and all of the installations had a seal of guarantee that they were built in-house. This made maintenance easier and more affordable, while also enabling owners to customize each part to the smallest of details.
Established by Peride and Claudio Rossi, the Rossi shipyard also placed a lot of attention on metallurgy and metal construction and production.
Ten years had to pass before the Rossi brothers decided to manufacture their first boats, but as third-party suppliers and contractors, although it was for some of the world`s leading superyacht brands at that time. Diversification and hard work paid off in 2007 when the company launched its own brand, Rossinavi – with the rest being history. After 2007, the shipyard focused on producing steel and aluminium superyachts that measured more than 28 meters.
Today, Rossinavi is synonymous with Italian design, guaranteeing a fashionable and comfortable yachting lifestyle, while also delivering top-notch performance.
The most recent work that Rossinavi did was to partner up with Simoni yacht design, as well as Camper and Nicholsons. This cooperation produced four new models belonging to Rossinavi`s Infinity fleet, with yachts ranging from 42 to 69 meters.
Since Rossinavi has been involved with the luxury yacht market shorter than some other yacht manufacturers, here is a list of their entire fleet by name and year of build.
(This list does not include yachts that were only partially built by Rossinavi; if it did, it would be much longer).

Taleya (ex. Rarity)
The 55-meter Taleya was the first big yacht launched by Rossinavi; commissioned in 2008, Taleya symbolized the first big success of this up-and-coming luxury yacht shipyard (although Rossinavi can only be accredited to doing the exterior of the yacht).
Taleya was also refitted numerous times, with major rehauls in 2017 and 2019, which kept her up to date with all the latest breakthroughs in yachting technology. Because of this, she is able to offer an extraordinary cruising experience to all of her potential clients.
Her 55 meters of length are able to satisfy all needs that could occur when enjoying a yachting vacation, meaning that the amenities list is filled to the brim with the latest and greatest luxury yacht gadgets and toys.
A fully-functioning elevator makes sure that Taleya is accessible to guests of all backgrounds and levels of physical mobility. Her elegant and sophisticated interior cannot be characterized by anything else than Italian, thanks to subtle accessories, smart details, and practical add-ons, that make life aboard that much easier and more enjoyable.
Taleya can house up to 12 guests, allocated in 6 sumptuous cabins, with an arrangement of 4 double and 2 twin cabin configurations. The master suite is equipped with a private office, as well as a walk-in wardrobe.
The sundeck jacuzzi is the most desirable place to spend time on Taleya, but potential clients also enjoy sunbathing on numerous comfortable surfaces or tasting exquisite dishes made by a Michelin-level chef. Taleya fields a total of 12 crew members; this number offers a fantastic ratio of 1 crew member per 1 guest, which guarantees that each guest receives the maximum amount of care and attention.
The dedication and hard work put into place by the expert men and women of the Rossinavi shipyard can only be matched by the end result: incredible works of art that are literal floating palaces and some of the most luxurious yachts that can be found on the market today.
Metalworks, carpentry and other kinds of workshops all produce vital interior and exterior pieces needed to complete the yacht. This also means that all the raw materials made in-house pose a higher degree of reliability when compared to yachts that ship their unfinished product to other shipyards for work they themselves cannot finish.
The Rossinavi shipyard, despite its relatively short lifespan, managed to accumulate a lot of international awards for its yachts, some of which include:
• The World Superyacht Award and the International Superyacht Society Award in 2019 for the yacht Utopia IV.
• Flying Dagger won the RINA Green Plus Platinum Award in 2018
• Taransay won a total of three awards, all of them in 2015: the International Superyacht Society Award, the RINA Green Plus Gold Award and the MYS Monaco Award
• Vellmari won its first award in the World Yacht Trophies competition in 2013, while in 2014 there were two more awards coming from the World Superyacht Awards and the Showboats Design Award.
• The yacht High Power also won a total of three awards, starting from the RINA Green Plus Award in 2011, followed by the Showboats Design Awards and the World Superyacht Awards in 2012
• The first yacht Rossinavi ever launched was Taleya (ex. Rarity), which turned out to be a big success when it came to winning awards; a total of two certifications, received by the World Yacht Trophies and the RINA Green Plus Award in 2008.
A relatively new yachting brand, Rossinavi`s late coming to the global yachting scene was a well-planned evolutionary stage of the Catiere Fratelli Rossi, an established Italian shipyard. Since the re-branding, Rossinavi launched Taleya, their first superyacht, onto the global market and immediately saw positive results and excellent feedback.
Thus, Rossinavi yachts became a symbol of sea-faring opulence. Handcrafted to perfection, each yacht is a unique result of labour from many different professionals, starting from craftsmen and metalworkers to designers and engineers. Sleek lines and texturized materials are only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to luxury on Rossinavi-made yachts.
Because no words can truly describe a sensational experience, spend some time on a Rossinavi yacht and you will feel the difference between pure Italian design versus non-Italian yachts.
Being totally dedicated to bringing together essential and aesthetical elements, Rossinavi guarantees a luxury yacht experience like no other, which is obvious when guests come aboard Taleya. On this superyacht, technical perfection is maintained through rigorous quality control checks, to ensure immaculate condition for every luxury holiday.
Each Rossinavi is approached with a passion for details, but also a strong orientation towards efficiency and excellence. In its essence, this is particularly true about Taleya, when she is cruising in the turquoise waters of the Croatian Adriatic sea. Book TALEYA with SuperYachts Croatia and experience the seamless pleasure of cruising on a Rossinavi-made yacht.
