With 97% water cleanliness, the Croatian Adriatic Sea is one of the cleanest seas in Europe, measured by the European Commission

The Croatian Adriatic Sea has been recognized as one of the cleanest in Europe, with 97% cleanliness near all the points measured. Croatia is also recognized as one of the top three places in Europe for ,, swimming water quality’’ together with Cyprus and Malta. This was reported by the European Commission’s Environmental Protection Agency in its annual report. These measurements of cleanliness showed that the Croatian Adriatic Sea is far better than all other popular yacht destinations, such as  Italy, France or Spain.

If you see a sea urchin, do not worry – it means that the water on that spot is crystal clear so do not be scared to touch it, but beware of its thorns.

Croatian islands have no air pollution at all

Not only is the sea pure, but the cleanliness of the air is also at an impressive level. According to the Air Quality Index, Croatian islands do not have polluted air at all. Between April and October, Croatia’s air quality is at its best and highest in all of its cities. It is clear of haze, fumes, ash, and other toxins that would otherwise pollute the environment, so this is the perfect time of the year to spend your vacation in Croatia because you will be breathing fresh and non-polluted air every day.

Croatia has many cities with a very respectable quality of air like Split, the 2nd biggest in Croatia, which has an air quality index of less than 2 (compared to 85 in London or 112 in Dubai).

Croats love their country and they always take care of untouched nature. There are not a lot of people on Croatian islands and the ones who live there make sure that everything is clean and ready for tourists. With your yacht charter, you can always find a safe and private spot where you can fill your lungs with quality air every day.

Anchor your yacht on the cleanest beaches in Europe

With more than 5.800 km of coastline, 4.000 km of islands, reefs and cliffs, Croatia is without a doubt a place to visit with your yacht charter!  Nautics, gastronomy, cultural tourism, active holidays and popular movie sets will all be a part of your dream holiday, according to the British Daily Mail’s exclusive tourist supplement Check-In. Croatia has many beaches, and it is hard to say which one is the most beautiful, since all of them are marked with a Blue flag, a symbol of crystal clear sea.

In Croatia, you will find dreamy sandy and pebble beaches, stretching from the Dalmatian Coast to the tip of Istria. Bare in mind, the best ones are the hidden ones, only reachable with your yacht charter.

Golden Bay and Oprna on Krk, Betina špilja in Dubrovnik and Jezero on Pelješac are just some of the beautiful beaches reachable only with your yacht charter. You can spend a romantic day with your better half or just organise a private party for your friends. Since these beaches are hidden and hard to reach, no one will disturb you.

Swimming and water therapy in the Croatian Adriatic sea reduce stress and anxiety symptoms

A yacht charter in Croatia allows you to spend amazing days on some of Europe’s cleanest beaches; this has many health benefits. The weightlessness felt in the water has a calming effect on the psyche, altering or slowing brain waves. It will provide a sense of mindfulness, while still helping you escape from the stress of everyday life.

Swimming and hydrotherapy (water therapy) in the Adriatic sea have both been found to reduce stress and anxiety symptoms.

Many professional sports players are coming to Croatia to recover from injuries. Furthermore, the island of Lošinj is well-known as a place for people with problems regarding their respiratory system. “The island of Lošinj is a perfect place for people with respiratory problems because of the unique combination of clean air at optimum humidity and temperature, saturated with particles of sea salt and essential oils. This natural healing aerosol soothes and dilates the bronchi, dissolves mucus and facilitates coughing, cleanses the lungs and improves lung function.”, said Irena Dlaka, a Lošinj historical expert. Come to Lošinj with your yacht charter and speed up your recovery from any respiratory ailments.

Exercising close to and in the clean Adriatic Sea has also been found to have more mental health effects than exercising anywhere else. On your yacht charter, you can exercise right next to the sea. It has the potential to be calming, meditative, and stress-relieving. Swimming and diving affect brain waves and hormones, also having a positive impact on the brain.
